This is located under my left breast. I decided to get it done there because the heart is on the left side of the chest and I take this message to heart. I believe the message is plain and simple. But with that said, I often forget to take care of myself. I get so busy with school and work that I don’t eat until extremely late hours of the day…or don’t eat at all. I haven’t made the best decisions for my health or for my future. I have frequently failed to make imperative decisions in regard to my “higher education,” and I’ve put other people’s problems before my own and it has distracted my educational plan.
I want to live a life I’m proud of, therefore, I need to take care of myself. And I hope you do the same!

Its written in Norwegian “Alltid i mitt hjerte” - “forever in my heart”. Two years ago I lost a good friend and familymember in a car accident, she was only 17 years old. I’ve also lost all my grandparents and a mentor. Since the accident I have learned to appreciate life and to spread the love. The tattoo is not only for the people I have lost, but for all the people in my life which I love. Love is something endless, and we should always show people love; strangers, family or lovers.
My ravens. They’re not done yet they still need to be shaded. (:
Done by Christy at Sirens Tattoo in Colorado Springs, Co.
This is my second tattoo, and I got it done by Danny D at The Chosen One Ink in Arlington, Texas. Its a drawing and quote from my favorite book, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It’s also the first book that my mother ever gave me. Some of my first memories are of her reading this book to me, so its pretty meaningful.
