This is my second tattoo. It was done by Allie Sider at Code of Conduct in Chicago, Illinois. His work is seriously incredible and he did a fantastic job.
The hand of fatima is a sign of protection and good luck. I travled to Morocco last summer and it really changed my view on life. This symbol is a large part of their culture. So, I wanted to commemorate my trip with this tattoo.

I’ve been itching to cover my first tattoo (done in 2002). I knew I wanted a dragon but I had no specific design in mind. I told the artist that I trust him, and that he should just do his magic on the spot. What was formerly a celestial-tribal image on my lower back is now a most exquisite dragon. I’m a bit in love.
Out of the murkiest water the beautiful and pure lotus is born.
This was my second Tattoo. I just signifies my life and how it is compared to how it was and all the obstacles that I had to overcome.

To remind me that no matter what happens, whatever decisions I make, wherever I end up and however I feel, there will always be a place I can call home. It doesn’t matter where I am and it doesn’t matter the situation. There will always be someone or some where I can turn to for comfort and somewhere to call home. Feeling lost isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
This song also means a lot to me and I love how when people see my tattoo they just can’t help but sing it :’)
