I got this done a couple of months ago when I was going through some really tough times.  Every time I explain why I got a jellyfish I feel as tho I end up sounding like a nerd.  The truth is that I think jellyfish are the most beautiful fascinating things on the face of the planet.  How can something so beautiful be so deadly?  I have done tons of research on them and they are sort of taking over Japan..and I like the idea of something so amazing taking over the world….so to speak haha.   Keith Cook did this amazing work.  It’s not completed yet, but so far I’m in love.

I got this jellyfish as an 18th birthday present to myself.  It’s to symbolize the ability to untangle yourself from tough situations, and just always being able to go with the flow. I feel like the ocean is a big part of me, and the creatures that live in it are magnificent. There’s just too many factors that play into my ocean-themed back/thigh pieces.

This is my first tattoo. me & my sister are four & a half years apart and we always said we would go get tattoos together when I turned 18, so took me to a tattoo shop a month or so after my birthday & I ended up getting my owl Tucker because I’m in love with owls. & everyday I love it more & more.

The main concept behind this tattoo was to have a peace sign and the word ‘Serenity’ imprinted into it. It was designed by myself with inspiration from previous tattoos. The bottom is a mermaid’s body with the peace sign as the head. I’ve always wanted a chest piece so instead I gave her the chest piece with the word ‘Serenity’. It was tattooed by Aaron B at Tattoo UK. His detailing was perfect and I love it :)
