The babushka dolls represent myself and my sister, the leopard print one is me!! (the wild one of course). This is my Lion tattoo I just got it today (6/15/12) at Blue Flame Tattoo in Raleigh NC. The artist is Joe Almquist This is my 2nd tattoo, and my largest. My other is a small logo on my foot. But this tattoo basically is a symbol for me to remember the tough times I expericned as a young child, with the many family issues I faced. It also serves as a reminder than I can be courageous and brave through whatever life throws at me, because of what I’ve already been through. It took about an hour and a half to complete. I could not be happier with the result. If you’re in NC, I highly recommend Blue Flame Tattoo.

My take on Alphonse Mucha’s Study of the Moon. My favorite style of art is Art Nouveau, Mucha being my favorite artist. I love this painting more than any other because of the modesty and mystery of the allegory. The actual painting is at least six feet tall, so we decided to downsize and enlarge the parts that were important. It’s not finished yet;I’m going in for the next session in a few weeks. The tattoo was done by Andrew Conner at AlleyCat Tattoo in Harrisonburg, VA.
