I submitted this a few weeks ago, but hadn’t seen it, so…
This is my daughter’s first tattoo, done by Nikko Hurtado of Black Anchor Collective at the 2011 Calgary Tattoo & Arts Festival. It took 7.5 hrs, and Nikko only took one 5-minute break. They even let him work well past closing - 12:40AM - to finish. It looks amazing, and she couldn’t be happier with it.

My Jetpack Robot done in 2011 by Jay Kelly in Hartford, CT. He has done excellent work on my (as of yet unfinished) sleeve, and will be opening a new shop soon!
What lady doesn’t want to be saved by a robot wearing a bright orange jetpack?

Here’s my new tattoo :) I love astronomy/space and I love the contrast of the flowers against the black and white stencil look. Done by Jason (donutsaremagic.tumblr.com) at Dermagraphic Studio.

This giant sequoia redwood tree is my first tattoo. I got it because I can truly say that there is no where I’d rather be than hiking in the redwood forests of the west coast. As a California native that has since moved to the midwest, I love having this piece of my home to take with me. I just got it a week ago and am absolutely in love with it.
It was done by Brucius at Black and Blue Tattoo in San Francisco.

Well, I made the duck tattoo blue because I’d never seen a blue duck tattoo before and I wanted to see one.

This is my 7th tattoo but probably my most meaningful. I grew up in a small town known as Richmond, Indiana and this tattoo is the design on the state flag. The torch is a representation of liberty and enlightenment while the 6 rays stand for the vast-reaching concept of the two. The 13 stars of the outer circle stand for the 13 original colonies of the U.S. The 5 inner stars represent the next 5 states the were admitted to the Union. Then there is the largest star positioned right above the torch that stands for the 19th state admitted, which is Indiana, of course. Ironically, my birth mark is right above all of this.
My tattoo artist was the very talented, Mike Ledger, who has done my last 3 tattoos, in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
I have lived in Pennsylvania now for 7 years but I’ll never forget where I come from. Indiana might be known as a flat, boring place to many but to me it’s filled with people I love and a place I call home.

Tattoo for my mother. Her name is Robin, which is why I got the robin, she survived breast caner twice, which is where the pink ribbon and the word “hope” comes in :)) Done by Carlos at Disciple Tattoo in Chandler Arizona. It’s my third tattoo and I’m absolutely in love with it. :))

My 4th tattoo on my leg represents freedom and how I learned to know myself better this year, what helped me to be a stronger person. Got this at Oly Anger Tattoo in Montreal by Nick King.
