this is my second swallow tattoo, close to another one i have on my lower hip. i like the meaning sailors gave to swallow tattoos. it’s said that the swallows would carry their soul home (or to heaven) in case they die out at sea. so this pink swallow is for my dear friend nina, who passed away last year. it’s flying close to mine so when my time comes, her swallow can show mine where to find her. the lyrics are from paul kalkbrenner’s sky and sand:as long as we are flyin’,all this world ain’t got no end the song has always been one of our favourites’ and was also played at the funeral, so it fit in perfectly. i couldn’t be happier with it.all done by the most amazing bernd muss, http://bernd.tattoofreestyle.de/

I’ve been in love with DC comics for as long as I can remember, and Batman has always been near and dear to my heart. I held onto a piece of Jim Lee artwork for a little over a year trying to decide if I should get it done, and well, I finally did!
