this tattoo is one that means more to me than any other tattoo i will get in my lifetime. it’s of the soot sprites from the movie Spirited Away, my favorite movie of all time and one that i’ve seen with every one of my closest friends. it reminds me of all of them and i will never regret it.

This is my bad luck superstition cat. I got this done on Friday the 13th and I actually almost missed my tattoo appointment because I slept in a little too late. Talk about bad luck lol. Jason @ Raven Ink did this and I got it on my right calf. This is one of my favorite tattoos atm.

This is my left shin tattoo. It has a fluctuating meaning. Done by my good friend Aaron Hamilton at Aerochild Tattoos in Birmingham, Alabama.

This is my new lotus ohm mandala tattoo, it’s located on my right forearm.   A mandala is a geometric design used in Indian and Hindu art. It represents the universe and whole-ness. A lotus is a flower that represents peace.  Lotus flowers also represent rising above surroundings, as they are beautiful flowers found in muddy water. The sign in the center is an “ohm”, which is the sound of the universe. It’s the sound that creation makes.  Saying it aloud has the same healing effect that a cat’s purr does.   It was done by Zera at Brite Idea Tattoo in Ypsilanti, MI.

This is not completely finished yet but i could not resist posting! I got this tattoo done by Steve Monie at Pinz and Needlez in Edgewood, Maryland.  It is my grandmothers high school senior photo! She was recently diagnosed with cancer so i decided it would be an awesome idea to always have her with me! Steve is an amazing artist and extremely talented. I feel honored to have his artwork on my back!!
