For my grandfather, who died last December. He made ships in bottles and called me his “Wee Darlin” and will never be forgotten.

Full Moon done by Sean Rivera at The Ink Gallery Tattoo Lounge (Livermore, CA USA)
To me, the sun is a father of the earth. He provides energy for resources and helps grow our food to fill our bellies. He works all day long staying high up in the sky so his children can play.
This makes the moon our mother. She is much less appreciated for what she does during the day being very faint in the back of the blue sky, but she is always there. She watches us from afar letting us grow on our own. And at night, like how the moon brings in the tides when she is directly above, she guides her children home through the dark. She is the everlasting night light, and she is always watching her children making sure they are safe.
I am a very mother like person and can’t wait to have children of my own someday. This tattoo helps me overcome my fears (especially of getting tattoos) and I know my mother moon is always watching me.
