This is my new favorite tattoo, done by fellow NPR nerd and all-around fantastic guy, James, at Bethesda Tattoo Company in Bethesda, Maryland.

This is my first tattoo that I got last May at TRX Tattoos in St. Louis, MO by Laura. It was awesome because my best friend bought it for me as a graduation gift. The experience was great, and the artist was very nice and really wanted to get the best looking tattoo for me. The quote comes from my favorite musical, Spring Awakening. Every time I look down at it I think of those I’ve drifted apart from or lost in my life.

” Hope for the best, prepare for the worst” is my 3rd tattoo.  I got it done by Chris at Good Point Tattoo in Oakville Ontario. I decided to get this done to help remind myself that I can’t be pessimistic about life, I gotta look at the good things and move on. But always be prepared for things not to go the way I see them.
