This is my fourth tattoo, done by a friend of mine, Pamela, who is training to become tattooist, but she already works in a tattoo shop as apprentice. Snails are not only my favourite animals, but they also symbolise me: slow, cute, vegan, with a week armour and slimy (well, not that I’m slimy, but I drool a lot when I sleep!) I’ve never been tattooed on the leg, this was my first time (on the left thigh, to be more precise) and it hurt a bit, it was bearable at least. It lasted 3 hours. It’s not big, but the shading are very accurate! I loooooooove it.

This is my Hamsa tattoo. The hamsa hand symbolizes protection and strength. The eye in the center is to keep me safe from the evil eye. The past few months have been quite difficult with me for I have had to adjust to my father being on hospice and his health deteriorating. At my college, a woman approved for me to get more financial aid even though I didn’t know I could do that. She wore the Hamsa and introduced it into my life. This is a tattoo I did for my friend Brittany. I’ve been tattooing for just over a year now, and this was my first black and grey piece. Still needs one more session, but I am so proud. These lilies are a tribute to her late grandfather who passed away from prostate cancer.
