I got this piece done to commemorate my love of traveling! I got it done while on a trip to Arizona.  I found Apryl Traina at 27 Tattoo (Phoenix, AZ) a couple of weeks before my trip and we did a consultation over the phone and spoke via email a bit. This is my third tattoo. It is of the waterfall on the farm I grew up on in western North Carolina, the waterfall was quite literally, my backyard. There are sooo many things I could say about it. It was an incredible place to grow up and asking an artist to duplicate all those memories on my skin was a tall order but I couldn’t be more happy with the work. James Zhena at Sailor Jim’s Electric Tattoo in Logan, Utah is the artist.

My great grandfathers World War 2 patch and roses for my great grandmother who used to always be tending to hers in her back yard. When they were in good health I’d spend hours with them. They died 5 years apart almost to the day and I got this in commemoration of them at Tried and True Tattoo Company in Greensboro, NC by Jason Spainhour.
