Both of my arms are compilations from some of the best artists on the West Coast. The artwork includes the cover image from AFI’s “The Art of Drowning,” two lighthouses on my left arm representing the dark and light sides of life, my late kitty’s paw print and name, and a gypsy with traditional roses and head dress.
The traditional Gypsy was made by Carlos Perez who now works at Royal Peacock Tattoo. The AFI piece was made by Rey J in Las Vegas. The rest of the pieces were from different shops in Reno, Nevada.
A tattoo I had done the day after my 18th birthday at In Your Face Tattooz in Fond du Lac, WI. Gavin was my artist. I wanted something kind of along the lines of a family tree, so I went with the tree branch. The birds kissing represent my grandparents who died (blue for Grampa and purple for Grama), the butterfly is supposed to be my brother who was killed two and a half years ago, and the four leaves falling off the tree represent four of my friends who were killed in a car accident. I absolutely love it!!
This is my anatomical heart I got done on my thigh. I got it done at Red Rocket Tattoos in New York City. It’s one of my favorites tattoos.
