this is my memorial tribute to my cat madison, who spent 16 years with me and passed away a few months ago. i happen to collect maneki neko statues, so it seemed like a fitting way to capture his memory. tine took photos of madison and created this madison maneki for me. the kanji stands for “safeguard/protect” and was chosen because of the promise i had made to madison to “keeps you safe.” i love the tattoo and having my little fuzzy guy with me for always!
I got this tattoo with my bestfriend of 14 years at our local Gypsy Fair. Sounds really stupid, but the tattooist/environment was safe and the place meant lots to us because its where we grew up. Throughout my life I have always remembered that every situation is mind over matter and that has shaped me into the person I am now
My first tattoo c:
I’ve wanted it for 3 years and Chris Blinston from No Hard Feelings in Coral Springs Florida did a perfect job! I got this tattoo partly because of my complete obsession with cephalopods, and also as a symbol of the love for I have my mom. (the “mom” on the left tentacle) The octopus is one of the most protective mothers in the animal kingdom. After laying her eggs, the momma octopus literally guards them with her life, sacrificing parts of her body to hungry fish to save her babies. My mom always said she would die for me in a heart beat. I love her and I’d be nothing without her.
How many tickles does a squid have? Tentickles.
I got this tattoo done at Imperial Tattoo in Rib Moutain, WI by Tim. He did an AMAZING job with everything, especially the color work. It was my first tattoo and the shop was so comfortable and all the guys were friendly, not to mention hilarious! I am totally going to him for all of my future tattoos and would recommend him and the shop to anyone!
