All of this has been really hard on me, but it’s made me who I am today: a survivor, among many others. I got this tattoo to remind myself when things get bad that if I can get through everything else I’ve been through, I can get through what’s troubling me in the moment.

Done by Cindy Vega at No Ka Oi Tiki Tattoo in Philadelphia, PA! My grandmother always loved owls and passed the love for them on to me. I originally wanted to get a small outline of an owl on my wrist but saw a similar image when looking for reference photos! I went to Cindy with some ideas and she drew this beaut up for me. I had it done on what would have been my grandmother’s birthday this year :).
