This was done by Jill Krznaric at Chronic Tattoo in Elyria, Ohio. Sesame Street was my favorite show as a kid and I loved the count. I also have the cookie monster on my other foot so he wouldn’t get lonely. Always makes for a good laugh when people notice them I mean how could you NOT like sesame street?!

My California poppies. I drew the idea myself, and marvelous Dan at American Classic tattoo helped me with the flowers, which I seriously failed at drawing. The crook in the largest root is the shape the river makes by the town where I grew up. I got it when I moved to Spain, it helps me remember I’m grounded, even though I’ve pulled up those roots.

I got kidnapped (blindfolded and all) by my two best friends and taken to the best shop in town. I have wanted this piece for more than a year but moneys been tight. They bought it for me for my birthday because they knew I couldn’t afford it. :) Best present ever. Original artwork design by stina persson. Ink done by Joe at Ink and Daggar in Louisville, KY.

I got this tattoo a few months ago at Stinger’s Tattoo in Garden City, Idaho.  Mike, my tattoo artist, was fantastic.  He made me feel so comfortable and talked me through the whole thing.  My tattoo is a graffiti piece on the wall that separates Bethlehem from Jerusalem by the famous street artist Banksy.  It represents peace.  The dove with the olive branch means peace, and the bullet-proof vest protects that.  My dad served in the military, so i view it as a sort of tribute to him.  I’m so glad I picked a tattoo that has actual meaning.  I love it!  :)

Unfortunately, I didn’t come up with this design - the clever, wonderful folks at BlendApparel did. But when I saw it, I fell absolutely in love.
They call it “Lo(ve)-Fi” since it’s a twist on the Wi-Fi symbol on Apple products. Funnily enough, within days of getting this tattoo two years ago, I had been hired by a local Apple store, which, though I’m not there anymore, ended up being one of the biggest, most important parts of my life.
Anyway, to me, it’s my reminder to treat others with love. I believe that we’re given a chance at this life to leave it better than how we found it, and I think one of the best and most powerful ways to get there is through love. So, when people are rude or unkind, I look at my left wrist (where the tattoo is) and treat them with love. And, since Wi-fi also picks up signals, it also serves as a reminder that the love I send out will someday come back to me. It’s a symbiotic relationship, and I need to always make the conscious decision to keep my end of the bargain up!

My first tattoo (just after it was finished)… inked by Bryan Randolph at Spider Murphy’s Tattoo in San Rafael.  The anchor has many meanings, but it has been a symbol of hope for thousands of years.  I don’t always have the best luck when it comes to love and relationships, but I hope, someday, that will change.

My first tattoo! It’s about half finished at the moment, two hours down and around two more to go! My Dad and Grandma always call me ‘Lizzy Bee’, so I thought this was fitting.Done by the amazing Wayne at Soul Expression in Thirroul, NSW, Australia.
