I told him I wanted an anatomical heart made of stone covered in vines. He asked if he could put some blood in it and I said sure. Then he asked if he could make it creepy and I said sure. So now I have this awesome diseased bloody heart on my thigh. I wanted something really intense for my tenth tattoo and I got it. I am so much more than pleased with it.

This past Wednesday, I lost my cousin Derek in a car accident. He was only 21. He’s been more like a brother than a cousin to me. I love him so much and nothing will ever be the same without him here… He took a ceramics class this past semester, and gave himself the nickname “D$”, using it as his signature. We all thought it was funny. I know he’s laughing right now, knowing I got this in honor of him. Rest in Peace, buddy.. I miss you <3
