This is the All is Vanity optical illusion. It was done at Eternal Tattoo and Piercing in Columbus, Nebraska. Aaron Beaudette was the artists and we just opened up our third location (with Aaron as shop owner) in Fremont Nebraska. The piece took about 8 hours in one session on my right outer thigh. It was done on Feb. 21st and one of my favorite pieces I have. Aaron is an amazingly talented artist, and one of the best friends I have ever had in my life.
This is from a flash page I’ve been working on for a bit now. The guy came in looking to get a simple hannya mask, and was sold on my take the second he saw it.

This is my tattoo of three laurel flowers. I got them to represent myself as my name is Laura and that originates from the word ‘laurel’.
This was done by Pauly LaVey at Doc Black Ink in Newcastle, England.

Done at wood street tattoos studio in Swindon. It took four and a half hours but totally worth the pain.
This tattoo was done by Phil Morgan at RLMG Tattoos in CT. It is actually a compilation of my first and second tattoos. My first tattoo is the Celtic symbol below my neck, a triple spiral inside a gypsy moon; I got that tattoo when I moved into school my freshman year of college. The triple spiral symbolizes the cyclical trend of life, maiden-mother-crone and the Gypsy moon symbolizes freedom. We added an orange glow to this tattoo to tie into the colorfulness of the octopus and cherry-blossom branches. Phil is an amazing artist and I am so glad I came to him with the idea for my second tattoo. The Octopus symbolizes psyche and creativity, and while there are many different meanings for cherry blossom branches in different cultures; to me they symbolize both the transience of life as well as perseverance. Much like the flower itself, life is a fleeting entity and while it is short lived and delicate, it returns each year to remind us to savor life’s beauty. Over the past few years I have been battling a stunting anxiety disorder, and recently as I started to gain control of my life again, I thought of this tattoo.
