When my dad would give my mom flowers she would hang them upside down and put them up on the wall when they died. I got it tatted on my arm with the note my dad left her “Mahal Mahal Kita” which means I love you in tagalog. I think it kinda became a symbol of love and death for my mom, who passed away, and also the eternal love my parents had for eachother.
I got it done by Nathan Kostechko at Memoir Tattoo in Los Angeles. He killed it.
