This is my first tattoo. It’s a phrase from Ray Bradbury’s book called ‘The Illustrated Man’. For me write it’s everything I have, I dropped out of Law school to become a writer and my family got mad with me, but I don’t regret. Life for me is writing.

This is my boyfriend’s tattoo done in memory of our friend, Cody Mauldin.
Cody passed away in a car accident in April, my boyfriend, Josh, was the driver and his best friend. They were getting off the interstate and the tire axle broke, causing a tire to blow, and they flipped four times. Cody was the only one not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck. He passed away at the hospital right around midnight.
Every day is really hard, especially today. Today would’ve been his 19th birthday. Josh got this tattoo done about 2 months ago, only a few days after the wreck, this picture was taken right after it was done. It’s healed beautifully and Josh loves it more than he loves me, most likely.c;
The tattoo was done by Corey at the Pens and Needles shop in Bossier City, LA.

Having now found that lady’s tattoo in the submissions, I can tell you that it truly isn’t an awful tattoo. It’s as decent quality as an outline of puzzle pieces can be.
The reason it was rejected is because it didn’t follow the guidelines about photo quality. Even if I’m as lenient as could possible be, I still can’t accept a photo that looks like it was taken on an Etch-a-Sketch.
Portal/Sylvia Plath tattoo done by Cody at Yellow Rose Tattoo in SLC, Utah. I couldn’t be happier with it.
