This is a parrotfish, a type of saltwater fish that transitions from female to male. The new males are always the alphamales—stronger, more beautiful than the rest. I’m female to male transgender, about to begin my transition. I figured it was a nice reminder that I’ll end up stronger. This one is swimming up my right forearm, and I think I might get another swimming down my left forearm after my transition is complete.
