My skull and raven tattoo done by Lisa Orth at Alleged Tattoo in Seattle. This is my first tattoo! The image and text are taken from a 1910 book on alchemy and the occult, and when I saw the image for the first time I fell in love with it and knew I wanted it on my skin. After all, nothing is more enduring than nature, or more timeless than death. I’ve also always identified with ravens because of how observant and clever they are. The text translates to “everything is one, because oneness is in everything.”
