I got this blue jay feather tattoo on the inside of my upper right arm yesterday on my 21st birthday. I decided to get this in memory of my great-grandmother Jay, who died while my mom was pregnant with me. She was an amazingly creative person, and a writer just like me, and sometimes I feel like I know her. I wish I had gotten the chance. But I also just like birds, and wings, and feathers.
This was definitely the most fun I’ve ever had getting a tattoo. The guys in there hung out with me for 3 hours and we talked and laughed and they gave me shots of Patron afterwards for my birthday.
