This is my tattoo, which reads “sic transit gloria”. Besides being half of a title of a Brand New song, this tattoo means a lot to me. My best friend/big sister, Ashley, got the second half of the song title/English translation on her shoulder (which reads “Glory Fades”). My tattoo also helps me remember that glorydoes fade and that I shouldn’t be so hard on myself whenever I look at and compare myself against someone else who seems to have their life together perfectly.
