I got this Bambi tattoo done on the 12th of October 2011, in Queanbeya, Australia. My tattoo artist name is Carbine.  The tattoo is on my right thy. I got a Bambi tattoo because like Bambi I was forced to grow up, (no my parents we’re not shot!). As an 18 year old I work 80 hours a week, live alone and have a mortgage. My parents moved out of town, and I loved my job, boyfriend (at the time), and friend too much to follow suit. So I decided to buy a townhouse and move out. Now days, while all of my friends are parting and drinking every weekend, I am working. I miss out on everything because of work, and my continual lack of money.  I never really understood the harsh realities of bills and a strong work ethic until I became reasonably independent.   Bambi gives me hope, I know he’s just a Disney character, but sometimes it’s nice to get lost in your imagination, especially when reality is so stressful. I love that when I’m stressed, have masses of bills and an struggling pull it together I can look down at my thy and know that it’s going to be alright if I just have a little hope.   I love this tattoo, it’s my third and my sanity, it marks the next chapter in my life, one where no matter how hard it gets I know it will all be okay in the end. <3
