This happens to be my first tattoo in color! It’s dedicated to my mother, who is Okinawan, and wrote the kanji pictured (“Okinawa”). She loves cherry blossoms and dragonflies, which led me to incorporate both. Not too much of a backstory here, I just wanted to pay homage to that side of my heritage, and I was definitely going for a Japanese woodblock painting sort of look :]  This was done in Seattle, WA by Alexis at Two Birds Tattoo. She was awesome!
