My first taste of ink. & before you start to judge, ” Oh gosh, a 16 year old with a tattoo she’s going to regret that in 30 years “, well this tat I know I will not regret. This is in memorial of my cousin Melanie. And I’m glad I got it this Memorial Day (May 29th 2010) weekend, because this weekend is suppose to be when we remember soldiers that have fought in past wars. To me, Mel was a soldier. She was a soldier in the war against Cancer. And she was one of the many causalities of this never ending war. But she did not die without a purpose. With all the trial treatments that she did, she helped a ton of other people with their battle. Melanie will forever & always be my hero, and I will always love this tattoo no matter what.
