“Infected” portrait of Cillian Murphy by Christina Christie of Black Rabbit Tattoo Studio
When I was 12 a friend and I liked to be dangerous and rent movies that were rated R. One of those movies was “28 Days Later”. At the time it was the scariest thing I’d ever seen, and it really stuck with me. I think it’s that movie that spawned my fascination with horror movies, British films, and general gore of any kind.
So, to honour that I got this on my calf. A portrait of Cillian Murphy, the main character of 28 Days Later, as an infected. It took 5 and a half hours, and was completely worth it. Christina did amazing. Though a lot of people think I’m some crazed fan for him (which I am a little) that’s really only a minor aspect of why I got this tattoo.
(Also not shown: a speech bubble saying “Hello?” as it’s a reoccurring word in the movie.)
