This is a dove bird carrying an olive branch. I was raised Catholic but not at all religious although I have always wished for a closer relationship with God. As a child, my favorite story from the bible was Noah’s Ark. Something about the scene where Noah sent a raven and a dove to see if the water have receded, and the dove came back with a fresh olive leaf at its beak. The dove bird is a symbol of peace and faith :) It’s also a really pretty bird. Left ribcage. Done 2 weeks ago on my 18th birthday by the amazing and talented Megan Wilson of Picture Machine, San Fran. She is so down-to-earth and lovely :) not to mention a wonderful artist <3
