I got my tattoo a few years ago by one of the most talented artists and a very close family friend, Bobby Tyrrell. He is one of my dad’s best friends. He was going to do my first tattoo because my dad wouldn’t trust anyone else. The week my father passed away, Bob couldn’t be there because he was filming an episode of LA INK (The week Kat was gone because of medical issues) As soon as he returned from his trip, we met, drew up my idea, and got right to work. He was so sad that he couldn’t make it to my dad’s funeral but he did an extra special job on my tattoo in his honor. If you know him, it isn’t like Bobby to do such a soft and lovely tattoo. He definitely specializes in horror/portrait tattoos. But I recommend him to everyone! He is absolutely amazing!

My tattoo means so much to me. It is my only one. My dad was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age of 9. He died when I was 18, at age 45. This tattoo gives me peace when I think about it because I know my dad is free like a bird now. He isn’t trapped inside of a sick and useless body anymore and he isn’t in pain anymore. I miss him so much everyday but I know I’ll see him again one day. I hope you all like it =)
