This is a my memorial piece for my recently passed grandad. “ara be whist” is Irish slang for shut the hell up (loosely). When he was trying to watch television when we were kids and being noisy, he used to shout it at us. I wanted something cheeky to remember him by, not something depressing and stale.
Done by Alex Edwards at Kids Love Ink, Deptford. A friend of a friend, young and blooming, he takes a fresh new look on the traditional style.
