This is one of my portraits from Tom Renshaw. I chose Abraham Lincoln because he stood for what he knew was right even though he knew half of the country would despise him for it. Most people now of days try to please everybody, even if it means ignoring what they know is right. Also, he grew up extremely poor and didn’t let it discourage him; instead, he used it as motivation to better himself. Too many people who aren’t well-off settle, instead of making themselves into something through hard work. Lincoln had qualities that everyone should aspire to have.
