“squid-a-saurus” currently in progress by Noska @ Southside Tattoo, Austin Texas.
My name is Ruben aka “Scares” and I currently reside in Austin, Texas. I’m an artist and I enjoy street/spraycan art as well as tattoos (of course). A few years back I used to DJ under this ridiculous DJ name “squid-a-saurus”. I don’t remember how I came up with it but I have a thing for squids. For a good while I had wanted to have a side piece that consisted of tentacles. Once I came across a sketch of this sick “dinosaur skull” I decided to combine it with tentacles. I was referred to Noska @ Southside Tattoo by my good friend Shannon who had sleeve and side work done by him. Awesome Noska, with around 10 years of experience, is awesome! I really dig his style! He immediately understood what I wanted and quickly set me up for an appointment. I’ll have to say that I welcome the pain ever since I got some sleeve work done but getting tatted on your side is a completely different ballgame. Noska is cool though and always thanks me for being able to sit through the sessions without moving around a lot or needing to take a break. I can’t wait to have him work on my next piece. I’m very satisfied. Stop by Southside Tattoo if you ever visit Austin. Great shop and professional artists!
