This is an infinite series that I made up myself. It represents life as a series of moments composed of change as a constant factor (the delta) combined with the energy you put into whatever you choose as you get older. Mathematically, when the energy is positive, the series diverges to infinity, suggesting that life is infinite. I got the idea as a commemoration to my dad, who grew up in Brooklyn and made the best of everything he had. He got a scholarship to grad school at UCLA for nuclear physics and went on to start his own company. I inherited my math abilities from him and his life is an inspiration for me to keep going, so I got the “it’s all yours” on the bottom in his handwriting. He’s almost 74, so it’s nice to know that I’ll have a reminder of him for the rest of my life once he’s gone.
