Though it’s still not finished, I’m thirteen hours deep on this piece. Starting in the front at my hipbone, it curls around my side in what has accumulated in 13 hours worth of work so far. Ben McClellan at redemption tattoo drew it free hand on me as I described what I wanted. He new exactly, better than I could have ever invisioned. I am named after the Liana vine, that my mother loved when she ran away to Hawaii at 17 years old. Hawaii and this vine particularly have occurred with significance throughout my life.  Could not be happier.
