This Fishbone tattoo is my third tattoo; my uncle lives in British Columbia (CAN) and is inspired by western coastal art and drew up the original when he was twenty; he has the same tattoo around his bicep. My tattoo artist drew up a similar but more detailed design based on my uncle’s original. The fish itself doesn’t symbolize anything but the fact that my uncle has the same tattoo symbolizes our closeness because in reality we’re three thousand km apart; it’s my way of feeling connected to family. This tat was done by Marc Chislett of Guelph, Ontario (CAN) and it’s the meanest tattoo and I love it.
