Designed by my best friend Sam Vanryzin.  As kids, we first form friend groups based on proximity. Kids who live in the same neighborhood, or go to the same elementary school. From there, your friend group changes into who has the same interests as you, and as your interests change, so do the people you call your friends. I am 20 years old now, and I can honestly say that my best friends now are the ones I played in the sandbox with, the ones I biked around town with, the ones that I have been friends with since elementary school. About 2 years ago I started calling our group Edison Kids, because we all went to Edison Elementary School. Although we have all changed, we all changed together and haven’t grown apart at all. The filament of the light bulb has the initials “EK” for Edison Kid, and the overall design is simple and elementary, like life when you were just a kid. So far three of us have the tattoo.
