This tattoo means a lot to me. Short story: It represents rising above hard times. Long story: The horse is a representation of me as a woman. Graceful but strong. Specifically, it is a mustang which is an American breed of horse most well known for being tough, hardy, and roaming the open plains of the American west. Making it into a pegasus rising out of flames is inspired by the tale of the phoenix. I am rising out of the flames that might engulf many others.
