I believe that no mater how horrific of a time you might be going through, one thing we can know for sure is that during those times is when we truly find ourselves. All of my discoveries about myself and life has come to me during the most chaotic of times. When I was seven my mom died unexpectedly, leaving my older sister, myself and my dad in ruins. We were absolutely beside ourselves and it took a lot to get us back on track. Now I am 22, my dad remarried and I have a beautiful little sister who is 12 and step mom who is more loving to me than I could have ever asked for. I know my mom handpicked her just for me. Although I miss my mom every single day I have learned that everything happens for a reason and with purpose. Although I might not always understand what life has in store, I have proof that eventually things work themselves out. I love you mom (RIP Rita Marie Collins).
