Superficially, it translates from French to “Everything’s Alright” (or good, fine etc depending on who you ask. But I’m taking the translation (and font) from the Jean-Luc Godard film of the same name. His films are incredible, especially for a hardcore Francophile like me, who will eventually live in Paris again- this time for good. Yes, I know I’m a huge cliché. Oh and it gets way worse, as the meaningful layers of personal significance are apropos to my sobriety and the wholly opposite perspective I’ve gained as a result of it. (n.b.: this is not an anti-drug/alcohol sermon…if you don’t have an addictive personality then I fully endorse experimentation lol) But for me, I quickly became self-destructive. I used to waste my days away, planning on the better tomorrow which never came. Instead of waking up with a dismal hope that ‘Every little thing-is gonna be alright’, my soul (and now forearm) remind me that ‘Everything’s alright’ already.  Glad to finally be in the tattoo club, because I def wouldn’t have been able to pay for one in the past, with the priorities that I had :)… I lost my tat-ginity at Name Brand Tattoo in Ann Arbor MI, and I think the guy’s name was frank? Obviously not a difficult tattoo to do, but the vibe,advice, and experience there was perfection.
