I became more self aware than I ever had been before in my life, and maybe it was just a stepping stone in growing up. But the flood gates crashed down and I was overwhelmed with spiritual knowledge and understanding. Awareness of the darkness in the world, and especially in myself. Awareness of the light that cast every shadow. This tattoo brings me harmony, and harmony does not always mean peace.
