This is one of my two new ones from January 11th 2012, you can kind of see the second one below it. This was the first tattoo I designed for myself but somehow ended up being the 6th one I got. I am so in love with it. I’ve had the concept drawn up for almost 2 years now, I was listening to Third Eye Blind’s Jumper while I designed it. “Put the past away” is part of the chorus.
I am terrible at forgetting things that I should let go of. People from my past, silly things I did that only I can remember. Mostly things that I need to let go of so I don’t keep getting dragged down while I go on with my life. I tried really hard to leave a lot of my past behind, but with a lot of things never had the closure I should’ve gotten. I’m left with too many what-ifs and it really does ruin my day sometimes. So as the start of a new year, my resolution was to try not to think about these things/people anymore. Leave the past in the past where it belongs.
This tattoo means so much to me. Thanks to Paul for taking my concept drawing and turning it into something beautiful. As well as Scott for bringing it to life in my skin. Two awesome guys from Big Kahuna Tatt Shack in Burlington ON
