This was an addition to a piece I had done in memory of my Mom and Dad. This rose is for my Mom, who passed away in 2007, her favorite flower was the rose. The droplets on the petals are actually blood, symbolism of the fact that our relationship was not always harmonious. I love this rose, it took about two hours to complete and by the time it was done, I was ready for it to be done! The artist who inked me was Brent Olson at Art Junkies in Hesperia, Ca. He does awesome work, and I am looking forward to getting more done by him soon!
