This is my fourth tattoo done by Rob Hunt at Forever Tattoo in Asheville, NC. I got this piece done on August 23, 2011..my birthday and one month from the day that my home burnt to the ground and I lost everything I owned. It was by far the most difficult experience of my life (thus far..) and every time that I look at this tattoo I also am reminded of the strength of these animals and the strength that I had to overcome losing everything and starting over. I receive a lot of “why would you get that?” and “that’s really odd” remarks at my job, which makes me extremely proud. This is an odd, funky, different, weird piece of work. But so am I.
