This is my latest tattoo - a polar lotus on my right calf. The Lotus is highly symbolic in Buddhism and stands for purity of spirit, wisdom and the ability of the mind to conquer all. It’s deeply meaningful in my spiritual journey and is a constant reminder for me to rise above the pain of my past and personal failings. It is of even greater significance as my brother (a true friend and loyal companion) has a matching lotus tattoo. It was done by Sou, at Lust for Life Tattoo in Brisbane, Australia.
