Both of these tattoos were done by Mike LaFrance of Triple Crown in Bremerton, WA. I got the phoenix in April 2010 as a symbol of rebirth after recovering from some personal issues. The betta followed in October 2011 as a symbol of the relationship with my mom; she has a matching one on her arm. I like how together they symbolize balance of opposites, kind of yin and yang. These are by far my favorite tattoos.
