These tattoos was made during the summer 2010. On the right arm it’s “maktub” in arabic, it means “it’s the written”, like “it’s destiny”. I wanted this one a long time ago when I read the book by Paolo Coelho, Maktub/Mektoub. Also it reminds me my origins and the native language from my parents who are Syrians. On the other arm, it means “Travling is a return to the essentials” in Nepali. I travel a lot and I found this proverb in a book, it’s so true and it’s really what I feel when I’m far from home and when I discover new places.
