“her body full of sentences” This is a quotation from Michael Ondaatje’s “The English Patient.” The tattoo “font” is actually my own handwriting. I got this specific phrase from my favorite novel because I am both a writer and a survivor of a handful of traumatizing events. This tattoo is a promise for me to continue being “full of sentences” that connect as stories, to continuously have something to give to the world— both through my writing and the stories I have to tell.
