Tattoo: Tragedy Comedy Mask located on my left hip.

This was my first tattoo. I got it a week after my boyfriend at that time’s mother passed away from cancer. We’ve been together for on and off of five years and I grew close to his mother. Around the time she passed away, I was going through problems of my own from family issues to emotional/physical issues. I got the tragedy comedy mask to remind myself never to get comfortable with the present, life is a tragic comedy. The up and downs will always be there, the happy times will always be followed by a time of sadness or anger. That’s just how it works. You can always have happy moments…but there isn’t really a happy ever after ending to anyone’s lives, depressing as it sounds.
