I posted a picture of my jellyfish I got done in February, after my fiance passed away suddenly. I got this tattoo done this past Saturday, the 4 month anniversary of my fiance passing away. These are morning glories and it’s based on a Chinese folklore. The story behind it is this…According to Chinese lore, Chien Niu was a boy who was entrusted to take care of water buffalo in the heavenly kingdom. A girl named Chih Neu was put in charge of seamstress duties. They fell in love, and the romance caused them to neglect their duties. In anger, God forced the young lovers to be separated on both sides of the Silver River and allowed then to meet only once during the whole year.
This being said, I’ll see you on the other side of the silver river Manny. It’s been 4 months and I still think of you everyday. I love you.
Done by Southbay Mike of Southbay Tattoo Co in Chula Vista, CA. He’s awesome. He’s done 4 big pieces on me and I get compliments about the tattoos all the time.
