At the time I got this tattoo, my life seemed to going to hell in every way possible. I felt like I was falling apart and I didn’t even really know who I was anymore. This koi swimming upstream represents the all the hard things I’ve been through in my life and the great changes I’ve had to make in my life to better myself as a man and my life as a whole.
